UK Hotel Breaks

When you have a spare weekend with no work to worry about, do you stay at home? Thousands of people in this situation regularly take advantage of the cheap flights with the low cost airlines and jet away for a hotel break.

Nowadays there are more and more places to visit and from more and more airports around the UK and Ireland. Previously unpopular or uneconomical airports have now expanded with the arrival of flights on cheap airline flights from airports all over Europe

The choice of destinations is now larger than they have ever been and you can jet off cheaply by booking a bargain flight then getting some accommodation online and jetting off for the weekend.

Travelling overseas by air does have its disadvantages which is more apparent if you do not have much time. Not all of the flights available have suitable flight times for a weekend break. If your flight leaves in the early afternoon the chances are that the return flight will be late morning or around noon depending on the duration of the flight. This could mean by the time you arrive at your hotel it could be early evening already. If your return flight is around noon by the time you get to the airport you might only have time for breakfast in the hotel before you leave for the airport.

Worried about the weather or like the idea of telling everyone you jetted off to a city in Europe somewhere. It does sound impressive to some people unless they do the same as you all the time. Don't overlook the advantages of a UK short break.

You could still jet off somewhere in the UK or Ireland to some excellent hotel break destinations which has a greater number of flight options. You might be able to fly at an earlier time and return late in the evening giving you the maximum time at your destination not at the airport.

There are lots of exciting cities to visit in the UK and Ireland such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, London, Dublin, Manchester and many more. Each destination have it's own unique attractions.

You could maximize your time at your destination and spend less time hanging about for flights at the airport and queuing up to get through a massive queue at the security check. You do not have to take the plane you could drive or even book a rail break package and travel by train. There are some interesting hotel breaks you could take including a murder mystery weekend or a spa break.
